A little about me...

I feel deeply privileged every single day I get to walk alongside my clients on their path of healing. As residents on this planet every one of us is hurt by trauma to varying degrees. Sometimes our wounds can be so deep that they paralyze us or impede our ability to function, to live our lives well and enjoy them. I am truly blessed to have been able to work with countless clients and see them heal. I have repeatedly seen them move from being continually controlled by their emotions and symptoms to a place of being empowered over their lives. This is what motivates me to do what I do! Treating trauma is my specialty because I am able to facilitate this amazing process of healing for my clients. I believe we have an inherent capacity to heal from trauma and to be whole again. I have learned a great deal from my experience over the last sixteen years.

As a professional, wife, mother and grandmother, I also have faced significant challenges that have allowed me to grow. I am a life-long learner! I am personally and professionally aware of our interdependence and need for us to “lean” on others at difficult times. There are times in our lives when we are the helpers and times when we need to be helped.

I also have the honor of working with therapists who have obtained all their education and are working toward licensure. I am greatly invested in supporting and challenging them to grow professionally and to develop a profound dedication to serve every client in the best possible way. Because each client is unique, I consistently work to foster their ability to be client-centered and to have a great variety of “tools” to be well prepared to meet clients’ unique needs. I am thrilled to see them grow as professionals, "helpers” who will invest their professional life in continuing to facilitate transformational change in their clients.
